2 February 2002- The first day after my wedding. I envisaged to built a ‘Modern Trading House’- The new “Sogo Shosha”. That was the spark that ignited the beginning of Great Alliance Trading (Singapore) Pte. Ltd..

Over the past 10 years, I am particularly proud to have achieved strong growth. From a sales revenue of $8,500.00 in year 2002 to generating a turnover of over $60 million in 2012-2013. Through the years, it was the commitment and belief of my colleagues in Singapore and overseas who have made this possible.

There is always a misconception that a middle man bridges business and collects commission. This is erroneous. A ‘Modern Trading House’ allows Producers to leverage on its network and experience. Financing the business, and providing credit facilities to customers is how we value-add to this supply chain. Establish warehouse and distribution facilities in strategic sales markets; is a key aspect to bring suppliers and their cargo closer to customers.

Resolutely, from 2007-2008 we begin investing in factories in Taiwan and Vietnam. This is the best form of direct lateral business integration. We sell Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE) and Polyethylene Teraphthalate (PET) raw materials to our customers. And facilitate finished products sales and distribution, such as disposable PP and PE clothes hangers, A-PET packaging trays, PP and PE carrier bags to Singapore, Europe and many other regions.

The decisions we made in the past, eventually evolved as our pillars today. With guiding principles of honor and integrity, our business expanded and diversified through a decade. A new chapter awaits us. Though we anticipate new challenges, we will turn them into opportunities of growth and write the next chapter.
